JEREMY MARK BLOCK

  • Mr. Jeremy M. Block holds a BSC in Agri. Economics as well as an MBA in Finance from Cornell University. He began his career at Salomon Brothers where he was an Associate and later joined Prudential Bache Securities as a Vice President in the Eurobond division.

    He moved on to form his own marketing company in Chile, South America, Promociones Inventivas. He returned to Kenya in 1984 where he served a stint at the Blocks Hotel as a Sales and Marketing Manager. He moved to C.Dorman Ltd in 1986 in the capacity of Managing Director and Licenced Coffee Liquorer. He is currently the Chairman of the Dorman Group and holds several Directorships in various companies across the East African region.

  • Robert Whitwam is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 14 years post-qualified experience in both external & internal audit as well as Financial Management and Reporting. He is a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and holds a BA Honors in Accounting & Financial Studies from the University of Exeter. He began his career as an Audit Senior/Assistant Manager at Arthur Andersen/Deloitte & Touche, London in 2000. In 2004 he joined ED&F Man Holding Ltd, London as an Internal Auditor. He later moved to Volcafe Ltd (coffee division of ED&F Man), Winterthur, Switzerland as a Regional Controller. He was then posted to Kygalanyi Coffee Ltd (member of Volcafe Group) in Uganda, towards the end of 2005, as Chief Financial Officer. He held this post for 7 years before joining the Dorman Group in 2012 as Group Chief Financial Officer. In 2019 he was promoted to the role of Chief Executive Officer.

ROBERT WHITWAM

  • Rozy holds a Bachelor of Education (Honours) Degree from Kenyatta University, an MBA from Strathmore University and a Doctorate of Business Administration from the United States International University.

    She joined C. Dorman Limited in 1992 as a PA to the Managing Director and progressively rose up the ranks. She is currently a Director of the Company and the Managing Director of Dormans Coffee Limited, the groups Roasting Company. She also holds Directorships across the East African region.

    The rich mix of senior leadership experience that Rozy has had serving as Chief Operations Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Director of Human Resources has given her a wealth of exposure to in Strategic Management, Information Technology, Finance, Administration, and Human Resources. She is an inspiration to many women. She is a registered trainer for the Rhetoric Module of the Female Future Program (FFK), a program designed to help women in senior managerial positions develop skills and competencies to grow into Board positions. The program was introduced to Kenya by the Norwegian Enterprise Confederation, and Rozy played a pivotal role in customizing the content to the Kenyan context.

    Rozy is passionate about developing leaders and is a member of Toastmasters International, a global organization devoted to empowering individuals to become better communicators and leaders. She was the first member in East Africa to attain the Distinguished Toastmasters (DTM) recognition, the highest distinction awarded to a member by Toastmasters International.

ROZY RANA

  • Kennedy holds a master’s degree in strategic management and business administration.

    He has worked for C. Dorman since 1993. He started as an assistant in the shipping department and later became the shipping manager.

    In 2007 he moved to the trading desk as a trading assistant and was later confirmed as a trader in 2010.

    He is a certified licensed liquorer by the Kenya Coffee Directorate and a Certified Arabica Q-Grader.

KENNEDY KEYA

  • Ken Teyie is a proud member of the Dormans coffee family. He joined Dormans Coffee limited in 2013 as a sales manager with a major role to Optimize, Innovate and Manage Dormans Coffee Sales Department to grow revenues, profitability and market share. He has over 10 years working experience in various capacities and management roles centered around developing and implementing sales strategies to grow revenues and modernizing consumer experience. Ken has a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resource Management from Egerton University and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Nairobi.

  • Naomi Njeri has been working with Dormans for over a decade. She is the head of Hospitality department that handles HORECA.

    She is also a professional barista trainer and is in charge of developing and maintaining training programs for Dormans clients to ensure quality coffee is served.

    She has vast experience in coordinating Barista Competitions in Kenya. She started as a competitor and later became a judge both in the local and International competitions – Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia and Burundi

    Naomi is currently the Kenya National Barista Championship Events’ Co-coordinator

    She holds a diploma in Sales and Marketing and has several certificates in the coffee industry.

  • Ransley Sokia joined Dormans Coffee in 2013 as the Production Manager responsible for oversight of the roasting operations. His duties extend to daily production planning, ensuring safety standards and good house-keeping practices are observed, as well as staff administration for factory and maintenance staff.

    He has over 15 years’ experience in the coffee industry in Kenya and Uganda. Prior to joining Dormans, he served in different capacities from being a Barista Trainer at a local coffee shop to an Assistant Head Roaster. He also supervised factory roasting and quality control operations for a number of coffee companies – Sasini, Java, Good African (Uganda) and Blend Africa.

    Ransley holds certificates in courses on roasting and blending of coffee, Barista training & judging, food safety systems, Coffee Quality Assurance, Management and Electrical works.

  • Hannington Kirombo is an experienced Chief Accountant with over 10 years of history of working at senior levels of the hospitality and manufacturing industry.

    The Office of the Chief Accountant is responsible for establishing and enforcing accounting and auditing policies to enhance the transparency and relevancy of financial reporting, and for improving the professional performance of public company auditors in order to ensure that financial statements used for investment

    His other responsibilities include: Perform financial analysis and reporting to management as needed. Perform month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries. Coordinate with finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines Skilled in Financial Reporting, Management Accounting, Budgeting, Operational Controls, Strategic Planning, Staff Management, and Business Planning. A strong financial professional with an ACCA Accounting education background.
